Gnoomes supported Wooden Shjips on a recent UK tour, and they were well matched, with each band inhabiting a similar world of fuzzed-out guitar rock. You wouldn’t know that they hail from Russia as the music is very accessible, with layers of dense guitar and pummeling riffs underpinned by driving drums. Sometimes there's vocals and sometimes not, but the power of the music remains on this engaging album.
