Four albums in, and this is the first that I’ve heard by Lanterns On The Lake, and so I'm just glad that I took a punt on this one. Hazel Wilde’s vocals are outstanding, while her band-mates play up a storm, with ethereal keys and keening guitar lines adding to the lush but sparingly orchestrated soundscapes that encompass her vocals. They’re a well-kept secret for now, but this album could be their big break.
