‘Origin’ is the sixth album of progressive rock music from Swedish multi-instrumentalist Mattias Ohlsson, recording under the name of Octavarium. Playing all the instruments himself, and in thrall to bands such as Dream Theatre and Porcupine Tree, he's managed to produce an album that sounds like it’s from a full band, and the mixture of metallic trashing and gentle piano-led ballads makes for an enjoyable listen.
