It’s astounding that Wire are still producing music 40 years after their ground-breaking trilogy of work with ‘Pink Flag'/'154'/'Chairs Missing’, but the fact that it’s actually streets ahead of most stuff coming out today is even more impressive. The eight-minute ‘Hung' is the highlight of their superb new album, building relentlessly to a thrilling climax, and has no right to be produced by men in their mid-sixties.
