Traditional folk quartet Bird In The Belly hail from Brighton, and their second album is an exceptional collection of 19th Century ballads, complemented by two band originals. The expressively gruff vocals of Ben Webb counterpoint the pure voice of Laura Ward, and you can't help but compare the overall feel to Steeleye Span, despite not actually sounding alike. It’s a great find for fans of classic folk music.
